As of Friday 19th February 2016, the search landscape (or should I say layout?) dramatically changed. LinkedIn is commonly known as the ‘B2B’ social network. It’s where you go when you’re looking for jobs or where recruiters come knocking on your door. Content is a core pillar of any marketing plan. In today's digital world marketers are being told to focus on content, stories and communities. The concept is solid - consumers are weary of advertising, they are sceptical of brands, they are annoyed by constant interference through intrusive digital ads. Yet consumers still have dreams. They have hopes and goals and desires, they have problems they want to fix and they have issues they need advice on. They *do* need your product or service, a... more...

Despite what others tell me, I suspect I’m not that unusual... in most ways anyway. Almost every weekday morning, literally the first thing I do (after three rounds of hitting the snooze button) is to check the BBC Weather app. This is what then helps me to determine, in my still half-asleep state, what I shall wear to work, including footwear - can I get away with shoes that give me unbearable damp socks when there is the slightest hint of precipitation or do I need my rainproof boots? And a... more...
