20 years ago, a worldwide phenomenon known as Pokémon captured the hearts of kids and teens with its video games for the Nintendo Game Boy. The aim of the game - catch as many Pokémon as you can.  It spawned a huge trading card game, movies, toys, comic books, video games and even an animated TV series that is still running today, and now it has hit our phones in a big way. Snapchat has long been seen as the young person’s social media. Indeed it still is, with 68% of smartphone users aged 18-24 using the app, but there is a growing demographic for Snapchat – the over 35’s.  14% of over 35’s are now using the picture sharing app; a sharp increase from the 5% that were using it back in 2014.
